Our Victim Impact Panels bring together individuals who have been directly affected by impaired driving incidents to share their personal stories. Our panels allow participants to hear firsthand how these decisions can change lives forever. By listening to real-life experiences of loss, survival, and resilience, attendees gain a deeper understanding of how their choices impact others and the community. The goal of each panel is not to shame, but to educate, encourage accountability, and inspire lasting change. Through these powerful testimonies, we hope to prevent future tragedies and create safer communities.  

The cost to attend a Victim Impact Panel is $75, a state-mandated fee. Payments may be made online or in person using cash, money order, debit, or credit card. We are committed to making the registration process straightforward and accessible for all participants.  

Participants who attend a Victim Impact Panel will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing. This certificate can be provided to the courts or the participants' assessor as part of the recommendations for license reinstatement. Copies will be provided at no additional charge. 

Heartland Victim Impact also offers educational presentations in schools designed to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. Through real-life stories, interactive discussions, and age-appropriate content, students gain a deeper understanding of the serious consequences of poor choices. Our goal is to educate and empower young individuals so they make safe and responsible decisions that help prevent future tragedies.
